Kristy from Life-n-Reflection, sent me this adorable Mini Canvas Set and I decided to actually make mini canvases. I bought a 4 pack of 6″ canvases at walmart for about $8. Then I bought Mod Podge because (gaspp….) I have never used Mod Podge in my life!! So I am definitely no expert but I will tell you what I learned.
I printed out the canvas from Kristy on regular paper. I had Card Stock and I think it may have worked better because it took a lot to get all the air bubbles out. I originally put mod podge on the canvas, tried to just stick it on with and then immediately cover with mod podge but that cause a lot more bubbles. So the next time I stuck it on, let it dry for about 5-10 minutes then covered with mod podge. Then when that layer dried I put one more layer of mod podge.
Just today Kristy released the Strawberry Kiss Overlays which are adorable!!

Cute!
I’ve never worked with Mod Podge before and I need to for an upcoming project. Thanks for the tip!

These turned out great! I had to chuckle at your comment about not ever using Mod Podge before. I felt the same way I used it for the first time!
Those canvases are so cute! I understand – my first time using Mod Podge I thought for sure I had ruined my project. It takes some getting used to but is so worth it.
So cute!
