It seems like just yesterday I was dreaming of attending my first blog conference in 2013. Now BlissDom is only a week away! Freaking out just a little. It is a mixture of excitement and being nervous. This is my first time flying and traveling completely alone!
What to bring to BlissDom:
I am starting to pack and gather my stuff for my blissful weekend in Dallas, TX. I am going to share a little bit about what I am packing for my very blog conference!!
Photography Equipment:
I am taking my camera but I am still trying to decided exactly which equipment to take. I am thinking of maybe using my older and smaller camera and two lenses. Probably my wide angle 24mm and my 85mm. I am going to carry my camera, lenses along with my tablet and other stuff in my organizing pack from Thirty-One. I thought about taking my Ness Bag but the backpack will be easier I think.
Clothes:
This is the part where I am stumped. I am not stylish AT ALL. I mean really. I mainly wear jeans and sweatshirts. They tell you to wear what you are comfortable in but we will be meeting big brands and online blogging friends. I do not want to be the bum out of the sea of beautiful clothes. I did borrow some clothes from a friend, but I still think I may go out to some local thrift stores and see what I can find.
Organizing Items:
I will bring my new Samsung Note 2 Phone, my Tablet and cover. I will also be bringing a power strip since there will be so many people there with electronic devices I am sure it will be hard to find a plug. Along with all of that I am going to bring some accessories from October’s Morning. Like the notepad organizer so I can keep notes and a zippered pouch to keep all the little things like business cards together. Speaking of business cards I will be bringing mine from Minted.
I will be a Photography Community Leader at BlissDom. YAY!! If you are going to be at BlissDom make sure you say Hi. I would love to meet you!
After writing that out I still am not sure I am completely ready. If you have been to a conference and can think of anything else I may need please let me know.

If it makes you feel any better, the only thing I’m sure of when it comes to packing for Blissdom is my photography gear. lol I’ll look like a slob, but I’ll have all the gear I need!
This isn’t my first Blissdom, but it is my first time flying to Blissdom. (I was close enough to drive to Nashville). So I’m also trying to decide which lens(es) to bring. There are lots of low-light situations, so I’m trying to keep that in mind.
I’m also a jeans and redshirt girl, but it’s fun to “dress up” a little. And by “dress up” I mean my nicest jeans and maybe a new top.
