On Sunday Melissa and I lead a ClickinWalk in Norfolk, VA. It was so much fun!! I met some new friends and really enjoyed just walking around and taking photos without having to worry about rushing or keeping up with the boys. I took both my Nikon D7000 and the E-PL3 that Olympus sent me to try out. I actually took a lot more photos with the Olympus then with my Nikon. It is just so easy and the photos turn out great. All the photos in this post were taken with the E-PL3. I will be sharing more photos later this week.
I am sad that I will be sending that camera back this week. It has been such an awesome camera to carry around and snap photos. I will be hopefully be trying out more Olympus cameras in the future.
After we finished the walk we went and ate at Hell’s Kitchen. I ate the Philly Cheesesteak. I always try that at different restaurants because it is one of my favorite foods. It was so delicious. I will be going back again!
I actually overcame my fears and took photos of people out in public. It wasn’t too bad. I got a few funny looks but that is okay.

Thanks Tammi. The PEN is just so easy!
I’ve driven passed on the highway many time in our travels, I think next time we’ll be stopping to do a little sightseeing. Beautiful photos!
Thanks! It is a nice little town.

Great shots Sarah! Sounds like a neat camera
I’d love to go on a photo walk one day!
Thanks Michelle! It was fun!!
Great shots! Sounds like you had a great camera to try out.
Come to think of it, I don’t normally take photos of random people…and if I do, it’s from a distance, where I won’t be noticed. Your people shots are some of my favs from this post!
Thanks Amy. Yes I was pretty far away. He he.
Beautiful pictures, like always. Looks like a great “walk”.
Thanks so much!!

Great pictures! I have a hard time taking pictures of people in public too.
I should play tourist in my own city and go on a photo walk. I am sure there is plenty of interesting things to photograph.

Thanks Katherine. It was so much fun!
Great shots – I know how you feel though about taking shots of others. Did you ask permission?
Thanks! No I did not ask permission.

Thank you Kat. I love that one too.
WOW- I would have so loved to have been able to join you both. What a great place for pictures. Although I would have had a hard time leaving the kids behind. That is a place I would love for them to see.

Thanks Tricia. Glad you stopped by.
Wow! Those are impressive pics for a little camera.
I love that you went out of your comfort zone and snapped pictures of strangers. Some of my favorite pictures are ones that I have done that with. I agree, though, it’s a little uncomfortable!
Thank you! It really is a little uncomfortable.
Those pictures are gorgeous!! I feel weird even taking photos of random things in public, so you taking pictures of people in public is awesome!
Thanks Brittany! Me too. Glad that I finally went outside of my comfort zone.
I think a Clickin’ Walk is such a brilliant idea! And I LOVE all your shots!

Thank you!
Hi Sarah, that looks like a fantastic idea! Great pictures. Are you enjoying the decorating class? I am, just missed last week’s call – I fell asleep with L
Thanks! I have been looking at them every time they come in but I haven’t had time to actually do it… Eeekkk.
You got SO MANY awesome photos on this walk. I have never been to Norwalk…you have made me want to go now.
Laurie
Thanks! It is a really nice place.
What a fun idea! I am not a photographer by any means but it still sounds fun to explore an area with an eye for pics.
Thanks for hosting. Happy Wednesday!
It was fun and is open to anyone that likes to take photos. They do it annually all over the world. You should join next year.

Thanks Kristy.
Looks like a great camera; love these shots (all of them)!
Thanks Elena. It really is a great camera.
Those look like you did have one amazing fun time indeed! Love it.
Thanks! It was so much fun!
These are all so fantastic! Loved that you caputured strangers in their element. I find it hard to take pictures of strangers of others too. Have you ever heard of the hip technique? I was reading about it and it seemed like an interesting way to capture people without being obvous lol.
Thank you! I actually moved the PEN-Lite screen on the back so I could see it while holding the camera down by my hip. He he.
lovely captures!
Thanks so much Rachel.
so many wonderful photos!
I know what you mean about taking photos of people, but I suppose the feeling of weirdness is only momentary.
Lovely photos! And, I just got an email about a big event in Norfolk this weekend. Makes me want to drive down for it!
I love your collection! I’ve always wanted to see what inspires people on a city walk. I just love these. My favorite is the little old man on his scooter! He is precious!
